Being at the right place at the right time is the quest of a plein air painter. I was there - on the Edge of Solitude. The tide was in, flooding the beach and allowing the endless waves to splash against the cliffs. A thin cloud cover muted the late afternoon sun and brought out myriad hues of the sea and coastline.
After finishing my painting I remained a very long while, refreshed by the view and the rhythmic sound of the surf. |
